Blood Count
Red Blood Cells on TRT
What the number means, why it moves on a protocol, and what people usually do about it.
What it is
Red blood cell count is the number of red cells per volume. It rises with testosterone alongside hematocrit and hemoglobin.
The range
TRT-aware target
Read against the lab range and the trend
How to read the lab range
Lab range about 4.5 to 5.9 million per microliter. On TRT it often sits at the top of the range; above 6 with a high hematocrit is the full erythrocytosis picture.
Why it moves on a protocol
- Testosterone dose and peaks.
- Dehydration.
- Low oxygen: apnea, smoking, altitude.
What people usually do · not a recommendation
- Read with hematocrit and hemoglobin. If all three climb, donate and look at dose frequency.
How Magno reads it
Import the PDF or a photo of the report and Magno finds Red Blood Cells on it, keeps every test on one line, shows the change since the last one, and reads it against TRT-aware thresholds rather than the lab's generic range. The panel it belongs to, Blood Count, gets a written verdict with the probable causes and what people usually do.

Questions people ask
Why does RBC matter if hematocrit is checked?
It separates a real increase in cells from a change in cell size or water. Three markers moving together is a clearer signal than one.
