Blood Count

Hematocrit on TRT

What the number means, why it moves on a protocol, and what people usually do about it.

What it is

Hematocrit is the share of the blood that is red cells. Testosterone drives red-cell production, so it is the number that climbs on TRT and the one that stops a lot of protocols.

The range

TRT-aware target

under 52 %

Above 52% raises hyperviscosity / cardiovascular concern in TRT context.

How to read the lab range

Lab range about 40 to 50 percent. On TRT, 52 percent is the line where blood gets thick enough that clot risk rises and doctors order a phlebotomy. Under 50 is comfortable.

How Magno reads it

Import the PDF or a photo of the report and Magno finds Hematocrit on it, keeps every test on one line, shows the change since the last one, and reads it against TRT-aware thresholds rather than the lab's generic range. The panel it belongs to, Blood Count, gets a written verdict with the probable causes and what people usually do.

Questions people ask

What hematocrit is too high on TRT?

Most guidelines say act at 52 to 54 percent. People on TRT aim to stay under 52.

How fast does hematocrit drop after donating?

Three to four points within days. It climbs back over one to three months on the same dose, which is why the dose and injection frequency matter too.
